If you asked me what some of my favorite foods are, chocolate and raspberries would be close to the top of the list. Putting them together is even better in my opinion! When I saw the Inspiration Challenge on SCS today that's the first thing that came to mind....chocolate and raspberries. So I did an emerging colors card using pomegranate and apricot with choc. chip ink.
One of my favorite annual gifts from my husband is 3-4 pieces of chocolate raspberry candy from Godiva chocolates. Yum..........I sure savor them! It made me wonder why I find it so easy to savor food items yet not my time with God. Why is it we yearn for food or other material things, yet don't yearn for God as we should? My prayer tonight is that I will yearn for God as I do for that chocolate I love. I pray that my relationship with God will continue to grow and my desires for foods will diminish. What do you savor?
