Kid's Day

Well, following a family tradition, we had Kid's Day today. What is Kid's Day you ask? Well, it's a day where the kids get a card with coupons inside. Basically it's a day the kids don't do any work around the house. I make their meals, whatever they want, and serve it wherever they want. I also do their assigned chores for the day such as, make bed, clean up kitchen after each meal, empty and fill dishwasher. Today was laundry and vacuum day, so guess who got to vacuum and do laundry for kids? Yup, me!
We have a tradition also on the last day of vacation. We go to Burger King in our PJ's. We now go through the drive through instead of sitting in the restaurant. I don't do the pj thing though, in case I'm stopped by an officer you know?
My kids also get gifts for kid's day. This year they got books to read, an alphabet set and a picture set of stamps to use. They even made a t-shirt where we printed out pictures of their guinea pigs and ironed them on their shirt. It was a fun day. There was nothing relaxing about it for me though!
I truly believe that this is a good reminder of how much my kids do for us as a family. We take one day to make them feel special. I hope you do something to make your kids or loved ones feel special.
Blessings and hugs until next time.

Love your ideas. Both of mine are miracle babies and even though one is 15 and the other 19, I never stop forgetting that. They are truly gifts from God.
