Gifts of One Kind and Another

This is a lunch tin for my twin sister who lives in Milwaukee. I am going to put dividers in it to write dates on. That will probably be tomorrow. This has taken me a long time....I started it last night and began to use pomegranate ink mixed with white paint.........couldn't get the color I wanted so I covered the whole thing. I love this SU holiday paper so it's okay that I had to use it. The flower is stamped in pomegranate, then versamark, then iridescent ice embossing powder. It's so sparkly.

Last night my kids and I were home for dinner without dad so we decided to revisit the past. When the kids were little, we used to sit on pillows and eat in front of the fire together and talk, talk, talk. It was lots of fun. Well last night we did that again. I had to get photos to compare. Here they are. What a gift I have in these kids......I know sometimes I let things get in the way of seeing that but I know I've been truly blessed by them. God has certainly given me more than I could ever have imagined, that's for sure!

We decorated for Christmas today. It really didn't take a long time at all. We were pleasantly surprised that it only took a few hours. With the two kids helping, it was easy. The kids have done this enough years that they just pitch right in and do things. They don't need to be told what to do for the most part. They also decorated their rooms........wait until you see Sarah's room! I'm a lover of lights, wait until you see our tree! I didn't have anything to do with the tree. Tim and the kids did the lights and we all help with ornaments. Here's our 2007 Christmas decorating so far.

Sarah's room with lights she added on her own!

Stampin' Up! has so many different kinds of inks. I thought it might help to show you what they are and what they are used for. I have ...
