You know, I like stamps, and all the stuff that come with this hobby, but what really spoke to me were the simple things.......a framed photo of my DH that he gave me at my request. It sits in my stamping area. What's special? Well, he picked the picture and frame and put them together for me. For my birthday he got me carnations which I put in my stamp room. They continue to brighten up the room with their scent and beauty. (Every time I inhale I'm reminded, He Loves Me.) That's a good thing to be reminded of, especially at this time of year!
My DH also had a ring repaired that I wore so much that it wore thin and broke. To me that is so special that he's search for things that touch my heart.
He's home sick with the flu today, poor baby. I'm going to see if he needs something. (Probably just to be left alone. LOL)
This is a thank you card for my in-laws that I made for the color challenge on SCS. It background cardstock is really real red although it looks a bit different than that here. I watercolored the image and added gingham ribbon behind the ribbon and below. I didn't attach the ribbon behind, I just pulled it through. I thought it kind of helped frame the image.

This is a sample goodie bag my DD made for her guest for her birthday party. Her birthday is Sunday but she's having a party Friday. The sad thing is her birthday falls during the busiest of times for people, so it's hard to get people to come to parties during this busy time. I hope she's not disappointed with the response.

This card is for the technique challenge from Monday on SCS. You stamp a bright color, spritz it with water then stamp. Then go back once its dry and stamp in a darker color. I wanted my flowers to be fuller so I stamped two more times and moved the stamp a little each time. I also added a color wash over vanilla cardstock so the flower would curl a bit. I stamped the flower in green and cut out one and two petals and made them into leaves behind the scalloped circles. A dot of purple stickles and I'm finished.

This last one is a gift card holder I made for my son and daughter to a local restaurant and game place. I forgot I had to do this so they got these at the dinner table last night instead of in the morning when opening presents! LOL
I used watercolor crayons and the aquapainter. I found there were images that I love that I didn't use this season....probably because I had new rubbah in the house!! LOL
I hope you and yours had a wonderful day of celebrating family, friends and the love of our Lord Jesus Christ. May He continue to guide you and bless you.
Until we meet again.
