His youth group (40 in number) went to the local mall after this for a scavenger hunt. They had to find the most expensive items in the mall. They had $100,000 to spend. He talked all through dinner. You know it was a blast if he monopolized the dinner conversation!

I needed to make some quick, easy cards for church. They sadly had run out of sympathy cards. Our Card Ministry meets the second Friday of the month so we'll be making more of these kind of cards. I just love Blossoms Abound so I had to use that for these cards. I liked the look of the leaves in the corners too. Banana and marigold are the colors if the flowers along with celery and artichoke for the leaves.
The masculine card was run through the cuttlebug and 3/16" eyelets were added. I love the Thomas Kinkade stamps in one color. Cocoa cardstock and ink were used here. Carmel was used as the base for the card.
My friend who has been fighting breast cancer for two years will lose her battle this month. The family isn't sure if she'll make it to Christmas. Her birthday is next Saturday....so sad....the saddest part is that she knew about the lump in her breast for 3 years before she had it looked at.......she was afraid. I'm so sad for her and her family. She's only 57............so sad.....Ladies, don't forget to get those mammograms and do those monthly checks. YOU'RE WORTH IT!
May God Bless you and comfort you in your daily trials and successes.

How awful to hear your friend's passing is imminent. I've been through that with my brother and the pain is awful and a relief all at the same time. Your cards are lovely.
I enjoyed hearing about your son's activities!! Even at age 47 *cough* *cough*, I LOVE the thrill of getting air, or that feeling when my stomach and organs are defying gravity and bumping around. I still want to be first on the tobaggon or waterpark slide, rollercoaster, you name. Love it! Glad your son had so much fun.
