More Stamping Today Woohoo!

Today was a bit busy but finally I got some mom time! That's what I call time where no one can bother mom unless it's an emergency! LOL
I found something I had printed out to try when I had time, and here it is. Check out Wanda's blog with all the fun activities and techniques she has.

This is an itty bitty box that I found on Wanda's blog. Check it out here. http://www.starlightstamper.com/2008...-tutorial.html
It is a bit too small to hold a peppermint patty but it can hold 4 red and white peppermint candies. I had to trim the paper on the candy a bit so they'd stand up like this. I used Ski Slope paper for the bottom of the box. That's why you can see stripes past the candy stripes. On the lid of the box I used SU Cherished Memories rub ons. This was a quick and easy box to make. Thanks Wanda!

Here's my card for this challenge. I used pink pirouette for the base and rounded the corners. Ski slope paper seemed to match the pattern for the snow flakes so I went with the paper. I took shiny cardstock and stamped in versa mark then applied white embossing powder and heated it. Next I used my brayer to apply choc chip ink. Once the ink was dark enough I rubbed the ink off the snowflakes. I applied different colors of pink chalk using a q-tip. The scallop oval is cut from pink pirouette using nestabilities. I added the ribbon and mounted the pink pieces with dimensionals.

I have to finish my Christmas card letter. Yes, I'm one of those who gives an account of the year in a letter. I look forward to it. I also save one copy in my file. It has been so much fun to go back and read the letters to see what was going on in our lives each year. What a great keepsake for the kids or grandkids (someday).
Thanks for dropping by today. May God continue to watch over you and guide you.
