Busy Stamping Stuff and Christmas Decorating

This purse was made following basic directions from Amy Celona from her blog found here:
http://ustamp4fun.com/ProjectGallery...ayshopping.htm
I changed some things she did to make this my own.
This is my snowflake purse made for this sparkly, snowy challenge. I used shiny card stock and stamped the large snowflakes in versa mark then covered them in heat and stick powder then heated that and added dazzling diamonds. Next I stamped the medium snowflake in versa mark and covered them with white embossing powder. Next I used a dauber and colored the glossy cardstock using bashful blue and ballet blue. Then I stamped in Pacific point using the smallest snowflake.I used blue stickles to add more shine to the snowflake centers and on the closure for the purse.

This is the inside of the Snowflake purse. I stamped it with snowflakes in bashful blue, ballet blue and pacific point. I added a pocket to that anything could be put inside. For the picture I put money so you could see the cut out. A gift card, receipts, tea, just about anything small could go into this pocket. I attached a post-it note pad and a pen as well as a handle. The purse is closed with velcro.

Here's my card for this challenge. I just love lighthouses so I stamped the lighthouse and colored it with watercolor crayons and an aqua painter. The blue was done with a blender pen. I used Ski Slope decorator paper for the background. The words were stamped and punched out. I added two pieces of black punched out to go behind the words. I added the large brads using the cropodile.

I did modify some things so here we go.....I used Ski Slope designer paper on the inside to cover the middle and lower pieces of card stock. The middle section has an envelope cut to size then I used the scallop circle punch to allow for receipts to be placed in it. I used dimensionals to lift the snowflake and the words on the middle section which are stamped with baja blue on white card stock.
The lower section has the lists Amy made, attached with a pretty flower brad. The last sheet of these is glued to the designer paper. The small pen was slid onto the list to hold the other side of the paper in place. This is held together lightly so it can be torn off and used.

I changed some things she did to make this my own. Also I didn't have a white paper bag for the inside so I used an envelope. This is glossy card stock with the snowflakes embossed in clear ep then the card dabbed with daubers in soft sky and baja breeze. The baja breeze was primarily on the white snowflakes so they would pop. I then stamped using baja breeze to fill in the rest of the card stock. Amy used a crystal brad and a pencil on the front of her purse, while I used the flower brad and not pencil.
This is closed with velcro not ribbon like Amy used. Check out the inside for something a little different than Amy did.

So are you wondering how the Detroit Tigers spend Christmas? Well in THIS house, they use LOTS and LOTS of lights! Check out my Sarsar's room. We both love the pretty colorful lights and hate to take them down when Christmas is over. She decorated a small tree and even though it blocked her Detroit pennant, she let the tree stay!

Doesn't her desk area look like a winter wonderland of lights? I love it.

This is a view of her bed and window. Lots of lights to sleep by.

Here is the inside of the box that was posted earlier. This is called a pull out shadow box which can be found here:http://www.stampingvideos.com/
You have to sign up for her newsletter to get to see her video on how to make this. Otherwise you have to wait until next month.
Anyway, I easily made this and can't wait to make more. Thanks Karen for this creative card in a box.
