My DS spent the day at church today. The 7-8th graders with their group leaders provided FREE babysitting for families from 8:30-6:00 p.m. My guy was the only guy there with all these girls..........not bad odds huh? Anyway, he loves kids and playing with them so he had lots of fun keeping the kids occupied.
It's snowing here in Ohio. We've had a steady flow of snow. I'm not a lover of snow when I have to drive in it. Our development isn't plowed well and it's hard to get out to the main street.
Hey, I'm healthy again! Woohoo! After a 5 week bout with a cold and nasty sinus infection, I'm better! Nothing like your health you know?
In one week I get a year older...........I'm sure I don't want to do that but love the fun of a birthday with my family. DS has already begun making something. He's into photography so I think it has something to do with a beautiful picture he took of himself!
This is a very old stamp that was donated to our Card Ministry. I stamped in black ink then colored with markers. I went over the image with my sakura gel pen so it would have some sparkle. I added Merry Christmas to the scallop circle and mounted it with dimensionals.

This is a sympathy card for our Card Ministry. Unfortunately we need many of these during the winter months. I stamped the dove in versa mark then embossed with gold. I mounted the dove on gold card stock from Hollo's in Brunswick, OH. I used night of navy ink on the bashful blue paper. Simple, but I think it will be appreciated.

This is a card made for our Card Ministry. Sadly at this time of year there is great need for these. I punched out the scallop circle on a scrap piece of card stock. I lined this up with the hole cut out on the front of the card. I then opened the card and sponged pretty in pink to fill the scallop hole on the inside. Then I kept the frame in place and stamped in close to cocoa twice using silhouettes. Then I added a touch of two-way glue and dazzling diamonds to the flowers. I stamped in cocoa on the front and pretty in pink for the message inside. This is similar to Dawn's cards found here:

Thanks Dawn for the starting point for these.

This is my card for IC157. I just loved the snowmen she had. I cut out a scallop using my sizzix scallop die. I stamped the snowman in black ink and colored him with markers. Then the snowman and the scallop circle went through the cuttlebug. I added versamark then heat and stick powder then iridescent ice to the front of the snowman. There are stars on the riding hood red background paper with iridescent ice on it as well. The pacific point paper behind the snowman is a scallop square with snowflakes cut out. I added Christmas Blessings to the key tag punch and the large oval punch behind that.

Well, it's time to go clean up my stamp area and change loads in the laundry.
Take care and remember not to get too stressed out about the shopping. On-line shopping is great, and we need to concentrate on the real reason for the holiday.
Bless you for stopping by.
