Today was such a busy, busy day! 12 years ago at 7:27 p.m. my Sarah Annie was born. She was 9 lbs. 13oz.! No kidding, that's the LAST time she was big! LOL
She had the wish to get up early and go to our local Krispy Kreme and watch the donuts being made and get some hot off the conveyor belt..........ummmm nothing yummier than warm, gooey donuts ya know?
So we got up and went there so she could have a birthday wish. Usually kids get their breakfast in bed served by mom. Today I had to watch her eat those two warm, wonderful donuts. That was so tough. I am watching what I eat and need to weigh in this week, so I wasn't going to mess it up with donuts.
We then went shopping for some clothes and groceries. 3 hours later we came home with all that and two tired ladies!
We went to Sarah's favorite restaurant, Friendly's for dinner. Then we came home for presents and ice cream drumsticks. We each get to pick our favorite treat for birthdays since we have all of our birthdays in three months. Mine is Dec 13th, Sarah's is Dec 30th, Tim's is Jan 3rd, and Ben's is Feb 16th. By the time we'd get to Ben's bday we'd ask if we could skip the cake and ice cream bit for celebrating. So we each pick out what we'd like to celebrate our day with.
This was another card I made for my Bible challenge. It is the last one for 2008. It hangs on the box so I can see the scripture each day and hopefully memorize it while it's up there for the month. I can't wait to see what this group on SCS does for 2009.

This is for altered embellishments challenge and the Divine Design challenge as well. I colored the lighthouse with watercolor crayons and an aquapainter. The sky was watercolored with WWC and an aquapainter as well. The verse was sponged with choc chip. The pirmas were stamped with my background stamp in choc. chip.

This is for two challenges, the color challenge today using saffron, burgundy and hunter,CC199 as well as the tole challenge..HCE11.
I used my sunflower from my son and Rubber Stampede. I stamped it three times and cut it out and layered it. The top layer I turned a bit so you'd see some of the flowers behind. I also used my Cornish Heritage Farms Victorian Sunflower stamp for the background, but it's hard to see in the photograph. It looks very pretty in real life. I used this same stamp to stamp my words on.

Isn't this stamp cool? SCS had it on their website and encouraged people to add it to their blogs. So I have it on mine and thought it would be neat to put here in case something happens to the one I posted on the right side of my blog.
