Thoughts And Prayers

I just got the set Thoughts and Prayers and was tickled pink when I saw how well this tree went with the patterns' pack II in the hostess gifts level 1. I punched out the flowers and added them to the tree. My daughter thought I was crazy to be so happy that I found something that looked so pretty and was easy to do!
I used my choc chip and celery markers to color the stamp for the tree. Then I added brocade blue with a dauber to the edges. I used the tree and celery ink to make a background on the celery base of the card. The Regal rose designer paper is from the pattern's pack II from SU.

Here's my card for a double challenge, the color challenge with kiwi, summer sun and pumpkin, and the sketch challenge. I turned the card design to fit my scallop squares.
I used the cuttlebug for the dotted background and colored the cuttlebug flowers folder with pumpkin ink and ran it through the machine to get the celery card stock colored. I stamped the flowers from Thoughts and Prayers onto white card stock then punched them out using the square scallop punch. I cut small squares from summer sun and flowers from the flower punch. The butterfly is on top. I used the eyelet border punch on the black.

This card if assembled from other cards that were partially started. I had fun with the Ginger Blossoms paper and the black. I ran them through the crimper several times each way so they got softer and the black actually looks like it has small squares on it. I used amethyst paper as the base of the card which was inked with amethyst ink dtp. The two scallop circles on the right and left were attached with snail. The flower in the middle was added with dimensionals so it would stand out from the others. Congratulations was also added with dimensionals. I used decorative scissors called fiskars, seagull pattern to cut around congratulations.

This is a card for a double challenge; the color and limited supplies challenges.
I loved stamping my own background paper using this new set, Thoughts and Prayers. I stamped in kiwi then used pumpkin marker to highlight the flower. Perfect layers enabled me to get a nice black border around my stamping. Kiwi ink was sponged around the white card stock with a sponge. The words were stamped with versa mark then embossed with black ep. Black gingham ribbon was attached with snail and a couple of glue dots to make it more dimensional. Praying for you was added with dimensionals.

I so appreciate your visit today. I have a 14 year old with a 101.7 fever and in bed. I pray that he doesn't get what Sarah had, that Influenza virus B is horrible.
Thanks for stopping by. May God continue to bless you and be with you all the days of your life.
