Card Ministry Filled Tonight

We had a Ministry Fair last month so people could see what ministry they might want to participate in. This month I had a full house for Card Ministry. We had 17 women. Some were new so they were sprinkled in between seasoned stampers. Here are some of the cards wer made.
This is going to the shut-ins this month. The leaf is in mustard paper then cut and embossed. The vanilla paper was sponged on the edge with mustard ink. Colors used on the leaves are ruby red, cocoa, curry. The words were stamped with small stamps around it then punched out with the large oval punch with the scallop oval punch behind that with suede paper.

They wanted a 30th anniversary card which is pearls. So we added 3 tiny pearls to the flower centers. I love two-step stamping. This is greenhouse garden using durango, pretty in pink and not quite navy. The solid image was stamped off once while the detail stamp was stamped full strength.

I wanted to show the ladies how to incorporate scrapbook kits into their card designs. We stamped the lighthouse off once(onto a good cut out piece of paper to be used next month-money saving tip.) We stamped in navy the words. Then we added the scrapbook paper and items.

I've been playing around with some techniques and used faux layer technique. I didn't rip paper as in the technique I know by that name, but on this card I made my own stamp by running fun foam through my machine with the top note die in it. I used temporary adhesive on the top note die foam and attached it to acrylic and used a brayer to add color. then I stamped the top note on white card stock. I like the texture I got with it, plus it adds a layer without adding paper ya know? The banana cardstock was edged with mambo ink. the flower was colored with mambo, razzleberry and green galore markers. Ribbon was then added.

I've been playing around with some techniques and used faux layer technique. I didn't rip paper as in the technique I know by that name, I lined the edges of the cardstock with black so it would look like another layer. Can you guess which one is the faux layer?

Here are a few pictures of all the ladies hard at work making cards for our chuch to use. We made 85 cards that night.

I thank God for sending all these ladies with a servant's heart to help make cards for others. We're blessed greatly just in making these cards and we pray that those who receive them will be blessed as well.
I'm blessed so much by God and often forget to thank Him for them. Thank you Father for your love, blessings, mercy and protection.
Blessings to you,
