Cards of Gratitude for Veterans

Here's the card my students and I made for our special Veteran's Day Program.  We have Veteran's coming for lunch and a program.  The cards will be placed at each placesetting.
I think they did a fantastic job for 4th and 5th graders! I used the star wheel with real red. the stamped the eagle in navy ink. The word was stamped in navy ink also. The stars were punched out of navy paper and attached with a dimensional.

You know, it's so important to recognize those that fought for our freedom.  So many didn't come home.  So many came home changed forever by injuries or illnesses that are a constant reminder that they served.  Please thank a Veteran any time  you see one.  It's the least we can do for someone who has given up so much for us.
I pray that those who are currently serving in the military and surrounded by you, God.  That their families will be comforted for the loss they feel with their loved one so far away.  Give them bravery, courage and anything else they need to do their job and keep us free.
Bless them Father,
Amen
Happy Veteran's Day November 11, 2009
I know I'm early but it's important enough to post early.
Bless you
