I have finally gotten a picture of DH's aquarium room in the basement. He has planned this for a long time and finally finished making all of the acrylic tanks, and running water and electric lines to them. The really neat part of this place is that the tanks can empty and refill with the movement of a lever. The tanks on the bottom are the refill water. The old water is removed and sent down the drain while the bottom tank refills the two tanks above it. Isn't that amazing? I got DH a swivel padded bar stool for Christmas so he can sit and enjoy his tanks. He also has a computer to keep track of all of his chemical information for each tank. He also has some nice music playing most nights when I visit him down there. It is incredible what he's been able to do. It's been fun to watch the fish too. In one tank there are two groups of fry(babies). In another thank the biggest male has moved most of the 50 shells into HIS pile where his females stay. He steals shells from the other side of the tank and brings them to his side to lure females to them. Supposedly when the other males get larger, they will compete for females and there will be lots of shell moving!
Another group of fish like to dig, so their tank which has sand in it has been changed from a level batch of sand at the bottom to one that has been built up in the center of the thank while the right and left sides don't have sand at all.
It's sure been interesting learning about these fish and why DH loves them. They are all from a lake in Africa called Lake Tanganika.
This is the cover I made for my MIL's new two year calendar. It was quick and easy to do with pretty in pink, bashful blue and amethyst inks.
This is a box I made for part of my upline's Christmas
present. I hope she likes it. She will be having knee
surgery January 5th, so prayers are very welcome.
Thanks for stopping by today.

Hi Sue! WOW ... this is awesome and how interesting!! Sounds like your hubby is "crafty" in another sense of the word ... what a room and a nice "get away" for him!!
I will keep you in my prayers for your upcoming surgery! I hope you bounce back quickly ... I know it's really been a difficult year for you and I pray 2010 will be MUCH, MUCH better!
We just came back from the oncologist and so far so good! All of Mark's test have come back perfect and he has a Pet Scan scheduled for Feb. 8th. We are praying that one comes back cancer free ... that will certainly start our year off on the RIGHT foot!
Prayers & hugs coming your way!!
