Spring Begins to Bring Forth Her Beauty

This morning when I was getting ready to go to the stamp/scrapbook garage sale, I looked out the window and saw the sun just beginning to brighten just the tops of the trees. It was an amazing sight and I know that I didn't capture it here in the photos, but I tried.  I wanted to sometime copy the light in a stamped image with the light only on the tops of the trees.   Our garden has really shown growth with the warm weather this past week.  So much green covering the ground that wasn't there a week ago.  Our Bleeding Hearts have blossomed in pink and white.  They are one of my favorite flowers from my childhood.  I was truly amazed that a flower could look like a heart.

Another card made with my new SU set which will be coming out in the summer mini May 1st.  This is my version of the sketch challenge. I colored the flowers pale plum then plum. the leaves were celery then olive green. I used cottage wall designer paper and a crimper.

This is an image from Rubber Stampede that I just got at a stamp and scrap garage sale in Medina today. Thanks Linda for the fifty-cent stamp. :-)

I stamped in black ink then colored in markers. I sponged the edges withpretty in pink first then gable green. I used designer paper from the SU pack with pink and gray in it. I used my scallop punch on the gray. Once adhered, I used the smootch spritz which will be out in the new catalog July 1st. I love how it makes everything shine. The background paper is Basicgrey-Perhaps. This was for the Inspiration challenge and my inspiration was found here. http://cratelabelmuseum.com/pic.php?id=3891
I can't believe we're back to weather in the 30'sand 40's.  Today while driving home from the sale, it was sleeting........YUCK!  However it was a good day to stamp!
I had the pleasure of watching a Chonda Pierce DVD last night and I'll tell you it made me laugh and truly enjoy the show in my basement! LOL  See what I mean.........
