A Feeling Down Day

Today was a weird day.  I felt, tired, and weepy.  I made some Christmas Cards for the Ways to Use it challenge on SCS today.  That didn't seem to lift me from the funk I was in.  I cried a bit which sometimes makes me feel better and I lay on the bed talking to God.  I was asking Him to use me to help me through this process again.  I am really missing work and am frustrated with the set back I've had.
I got Tim to take me out tonight for a short drive and shopping trip.  It made me feel better.  Here are the three cards I made for the Ways To use It challenge at SCS.....We were to make a holiday card.  Since I had about 5 made for this year, I decided this would be a good time to make a few cards.
I stamped in black versa fine then colored with markers. I used yellow stickles on the flower centers and glitter stickles on the flower lines. The background is embossed with flowers a plenty. I used Red ribbon then added the joy at Christmas stamp punched out with the scalloped circle punch.
This is a stamp that was donated to our Card Ministry that I thought I'd try using for the challenge today. It is a PSX 1995 stamp K-1519. I can see why it was purchased. It's a beautiful poinsettia plant. I stamped in black versa fine then colored with markers. I used yellow stickles on the flower centers and gold stickles on the flower lines. Artichoke borders the image and I used dotted swiss for the background embossing.

This is my card for Today's challenge. I think I have about 5 Christmas cards so far.......I know I better put it in gear.

I brayered the background with marina lmist, not quite navy and navy. The I ripped paper and sponged hills to give this depth. I put glue on the star and added dazzling diamonds. I used the thoroughly modern punch for the words.

Here are the two cards I made yesterday.  One is for the color challenge and one is for the sketch challenge.
Here's my card for todays challenge. I turned it and like the results. This is the second card I've made after getting home from the hospital. I colored on watercolor paper after stamping with black ink. I bordered image with black paper, The background embossing was vintage wallpaper.
This is my first card being home from the hospital yesterday. I stamped in wasabi for the grass. I colored the flower image with markers. I added dazzling diamonds to the baja part. I stamped thanks stamping in baja then wiping off the thanks and coloring it with black marker. I sponged in baja the border around the image. The background was embossed with dotted swiss.

As always I appreciate your visit today.  I am back to being pretty good mood-wise.  God is great and keeps His promises........ALWAYS.  I am so glad He is my Father and takes care of me through the happy and sad times.  Does He do that for you?  Do you know Him as your Lord and Savior?

Great cards--your creativity did not suffer from your "down" day. I appreciate your blog and your transparency. I join you in giving thanks and praise to God who is faithful, reliable and trustworthy especially when we are not! I pray that you continue to mend and focus on him in all things :-D
