My Sweet Husband's Birthday

With the holidays, then Sarah's birthday on the 30th next comes Tim's January 3rd.
What a busy holiday season we have. Tim wanted to go to El Rodeo, a Mexican restaurant in our area. Then we came home for presents and ice cream.
Tim really loves fish from Lake Tanganika, in Africa. Some of his gifts are usually fish oriented. This year he got some shirts, a clock and two books for Christmas and his birthday. He was very happy about these too.
It's been a busy week with getting back to work.  I had a great week, thanks for asking Hope! LOL
My students were really have a great week.  Usually it's hard to get them going again when they've been home for 2 weeks.  Praise God for his goodness to us.  We had a great week.  My boss was overwhelmed with all of the students I sent with good news to her office.  I love doing that.  I to that more than sending anyone for bad things.  I've got a great group of kids for the most part.
It's been a weird couple of days.  I feel tired and uninterested in some things.  Probably the holiday let down, ya know when things settle down into a quiet routine instead of the hectice running during the holidays.  I haven't stamped in a few days..........YIKES, maybe there is something wrong.  That's very unusual for me to not stamp each day.  I'm going to see if I can get something going tonight.

I have to get grades entered in my computer and get ready to do report cards all over again.  It seems with doing an interim report card, that we're busy doing grades twice as much as before.  We also do lots of other testing, much, much more than when I first started teaching over 30 years ago.  One of my friends from long ago is still teaching and she's been teaching 41 years now!  I can't image going past 35 at this point.  But who knows where we'll be in three years.   Ben will be graduating from high school and Sarah will be in 10th grade.
God knows where we'll be and he'll be there with us. That's a fact I can depend on.

Here's the card I made today for the SCS inspiration challenge.  Here's the picture that inspired me for the colors and shapes.

Thanks for stopping by today.  May God Bless you.

Sue,

I hope you have better days ahead of you and not feel "weird" as you wrote. Sometimes the winter season can do that to us.

Sometimes I wonder if all the school testing really makes a difference in how teachers actually teach. Everything has to be "measurable" these days -- and the reports they send home don't always make sense. They just make more work for everyone.
