Tuesday, Test Day

Today I had to take Sarah for her state testing in Akron on Rt. 18.  It was a fun day for me cuz after she was safely in the testing room, I took off to shop!  Guess what?  Since I'd been there God put a Hobby Lobby down from Archivers! LOL  Imagine my surprise when I got there.  I have to tell you that to prepare for this trip, I printed out coupons from ALL the major stamping stores I could; Mikes, Hobby Lobby, Archivers, Joanns.  I only had time to shop in two stores so I have two more days of testing for Sarah so I'll see what I can get with my other coupons.
I got two Father's Day stamps, some Copic markers and some stamps from Stampendous called Sincere Sentiments.
Here are some of the cards I've made since Pam visited yesterday. Heartfelt creations had this stamp tulips in a bucket.  I colored it with markers then used distress ink to make it looked aged like my background paper. I'm not sure what occasion I'm going to use this for so I left it blank.
Pam was throwing out the outline of the nestabilities cut out so I took them to use with my sheep cards. I double embossed the background and embossed the wool on the lamb's body. I used my MS corner punch to decorate the corners. These were mounted with dimensionals. They will be donated to the music ministry to give to their members.
Lots of fun doing this color challenge. I think it's because I'm on vacation this week so I'm excited to create instead of being at work! LOL

This is one of the stamps Pam brought yesterday so I could use it for Mother's Day sale at church for the Sr. High trip to Peru. This was colored with markers then added the flowers and pearls. I ran this through the Cuttlebug with my SU folder. (How come these companies don't put the name of the folder on these so we know what to call them once the packaging is gone?) LOL The image is popped up
While doing the eyes my pen slipped and made a swirl upwards, so I made a matching one on the other side and now the lamb looks mad instead of cute! LOL
This is one of Pam's stamps. I colored her with copics then used distress ink to soften the white paper. I used nestabilities to make the scallop ovals. The background of the card is the tree bark folder. This will be part of a collection of Father's Day cards I'll make and sell for the Sr. High Peru Trip.

I used my Cricut after dusting it off! A friend left the Animal cartridge here for me to play with. When I saw the lamb I knew I wanted to make baby cards for the Music Ministry to send to members at church. I embossed the wool and used markers to make the fce. I used SU's two tags for the greeting. I love the gingham ribbon. The frame is one Pam left behind yesterday, pretty huh? I pray this will bless
 whomever it goes to.
This was colored with markers then I used metallic chalks and the heart embossing folder. I cut out the flowers and mounted them onto designer paper inside the frame.  The image is mounted with dimensionals.
This is one of my favorite cards made in the last day. I colored the flowers then added metallic chalk to the image. I used the frame left from my nestabilities and put the scallop oval in the frame with designer paper behind it. I used my sponge and bashful blue ink on the embossed white section of the card. I did the same on the inside of the oval. The flowers are mounted with dimensionals.
I am reading the book, Crazy Love by Francis Chan.  It's Ben's but I asked to read it since he was done.  I'm also reading another book whose title escapes me right now.........something new there huh? Forgetting things ya know?  Experience it? Can you relate?
Sarah's testing for Reading went well.  She said it was excruciatingly EASY!
Thanks for stopping by.  Until tomorrow may you be securely in God's arms and be filled with peace that only comes from Him.
Blessings,

Those cards are all so lovely! I don't know which one I like the best. The little lamb is too cute, but I am partial to the tulips! Love that stamp. Good thing that you get to go shopping again.
