Yesterday Patti and I went to meet with my boss. We were on pins and needles just waiting for her to tell us what would happen for next year. She said Patti AND the other special ed. assistant, Andrea would BOTH be my assistants for next year! Can you hear me laugh in unbelief? Patti and I knew it would only be one assistant, that's been what's always been done. So God surprised us and gave us much more that we could have possibly imagined.

We were shocked and very pleased with this decision. We are sad that my partner teacher will not have a classroom any longer. My boss is going to see if she can find a place for this teacher to stay.
We had a great day Friday compared to Thursday. We're praying for Beth as she will be the one displaced.

Tonight I am anxious to see my Sarah. She, Ben and the jr. and sr. high kids at our church did a 30-hour fast which began Friday at 12:30p.m. They broke the fast tonight at 6 together. They spent the day doing community service in different places. My kids went to Laura's Home a home for mom's and kids who need a safe place to stay. They are educated so they can start life again, have a job and a place to live. It's a wonderful place.
Sarah gets dizzy easily, so I've been concerned about her. We told both of them not to be heros, and use their gaterade if needed and to let someone know if there was a problem.
The idea here was to let the kids see what kids all over the world deal with each day. It was also a way to support agencies that provide for food for kids. Students were supported by others and all the funds will help to feed kids in other countries. I think this will stick with them for a long time.
I made a card today for the SCS inspiration challenge. Take a look at the inspiration and my card.
Just got this set and wouldn't you know I have to use it to make cards for church to send out. I embossed the roses then colored them with markers. Then colored roses with versamark and covered in clear ep. Then used the brayer with bashful blue on the shiny cardstock. I added the butterfly with versa mark and black ep. Then I added stickles. I added pretty in pink satin ribbon then the saying with pearls.
I continue to be in awe of how God works in our lives. I used today as a crash day. I dropped kids off at church and went grocery shopping with Tim, then crashed at home. I was so tired I took a nap and just relaxed today. We had beautiful weather so I sat outside with Tim having coffee in 60 degree weather on our screened in porch. Thanks Fred....."it's the best investment we've made".
