First Day of Vacation-Two Susan's Inspiration

Today was my first day of vacation and you'd think I could sleep in...........nooooooo!  I was up by 7 having my coffee, cereal and doing my Bible reading.  I finished Acts and may start Romans not sure.  It was so peaceful sitting on my screened in porch that Hope and Rose's nephew made for us.  It is my favorite room of the house during nice weather.
I made a card for the ways to use it challenge and some shirt cards for the Father's Day sale at Grace church on Father's Day.  For the Ways to use is challenge on Splitcoast Stampers you had to do paper piercing.  I'd say I did quite a bit, but it was early this morning so I'm sure that's when I wasn't thinking clearly yet. LOL
I like using the 3-D lacquers especially with a stamp that looks like stained glass.  Not sure what I will use this for so I kept it blank from text.  Using gray is a BIG challenge for me so I accomplished my challenge as well.

The next cards are from a tutorial from Susan also known as rainy.
Check out Susan's tutorial to make these adorable cards. I'm making them for our Father's Day sale at church for the card ministry.

I used a glitter brad from SU as the tie tac. Now that I have done one of these, I have a template to use for the tie and shirt and collar base.

I also found a different shirt pattern on Susan Carlson's blog.  Check this out.
Check our Susan Calrson's blog found here, to find out how to make these cool shirts. I added the pockets. I used the large tag punch and cut it down a bit from the straight end. I also used the 1 3/8" square punch and found the center then folded it gently and cut from the center point to the side. Both sides are cut at the same time. Thanks Susan for a great tutorial! I hope others try it.
For this shirt I used the large tag punch so my text would fit.  The small tag punch might be a better fit for looks if you don't write on it.
This morning as part of my quiet time I went into the garden to take pictures.  Here are a few:

10 days from today Ben and Sarah go off to Peru.  Please pray for a safe trip for both of them.  Two weeks is a long time to be in another country but I'm trusting God to keep them safe as well as the adults that are with them.  I'm thrilled that we reached the amount we needed to send them.  God provided MORE than we needed, so we donated our extra to someone else who needed it.  That's what it's all about. I pray that God continues to work in all of these young people to ready them for the lives they will change and the challenges they will meet.
Thanks for stopping by.  I've got to get Card Ministry cards designed and paper cut.
Blessings,

Thanks for sharing the other shirt tutorial. Love your flowers. Haven't done a lot of gardening these past few years since I've been growing my own crop of kids. I'll get there someday.

Praises that you've raised more than enough money for the Peru trip. I'll be praying for their safety and that their mission will be truly awesome!

Your creations are all awesome, and how wonderful that you raised enough money and then some to help another.
