Challenges For A Cause and Good Friends

I've been playing the Hope You Can Cling To, challenges on Splitcoast Stampers.  It is a month long set of challenges, that will be sent to a hospital in Texas, where they help those with cancer.  I can't wait to ship these cards off to them. Such a variety of cards.
Here are a few of them.

This first card was really fun to make.  I'm experimenting with washi tape.  The challenge was to use washi tape for your background.  I punched out hearts and filled the hole in with washi tape.  Easy peasy.  This is more my style than making lines that are ripped off the roll.
This challenge was to make a card that had sparkle and rhinestones.  I used purple and yellow Stickles for the flower and center.  I'm not sure what type of card I'll make it into yet so I left it blank.
I played the technique lovers challenge on Splitcoast today and it was to make this purse.  I used Sweater Weather designer paper and a cute  Sweet N Sassy stamp set.
This was the color challenge for today.  You also had to use texture.  The colors were soft sky, so safron, and Summer starfruit.  I dislike the color starfruit, so this was even more difficult for me to do.  This was an easy card to make.  I stamped, punched and glued.  Then I embossed it all.  It kind of looks like a  quilt doesn't it?
This next card is called the sunburst technique.  It will be going to Texas to cancer patients.

This is another card that will be going to Texas.  We had to make an animal that is huggable and snuggable.  (I know snugabble isn't a word, but it seemed to fit where I put it.

I saw this online and just had to add it to my post.  There's nothing like Coffee With The King.  I need to get back into that habit.  Thanks for the reminder God.

Tonight we went to dinner with dear friends, Maryanne and Chuck.  We went to Babushka's Kitchen. For those in the Cleveland area, it's on Route 21 in a shopping center just in front of the huge water tower.  It is across from Chestnut Drive or Road.
Oh my, did we eat.  The guys got a huge platter of food which the waitress said ends up going home.  Chuck shared with Maryanne, but Tim ate most of his alone!  I was amazed at what these guys can eat!  The food was excellent!  I had Chicken Paprikash, and Maryanne ordered a pierogi. I was the only one who got a box for food to go.  The food was amazingly good.  The guys loved the mashed potatoes with tomato gravy, pork and sauerkraut, stuffed cabbage, kielbasa and all the other stuff on their plate.  A good time was had by all.

Tim continues to get lots done from his To Do List.  I must also add that I have NO imput into this lits.  It is not a Honey-Do List.  He's gotten the garage cleaned out.  Today was garbage day so much went into black bags that I didn't know about. (That's one way to do it.) He knew if Sarah or I saw the stuff we'd haggle about it and some would remain.

He has sold all of his fish but a few catfish and babies.  Those went into the tank upstairs here.  I was so sad when I went downstairs and saw the tanks emptied of their sand, rocks and water.  I think I'm more upset than he is.  He said he is tired of doing this, it's no longer fun.

I invited him to do my hobby with me and he guaranteed me that he just doesn't have the skills to make cards.

Tomorrow Jane and I are going to the Q to see Chris Tomlin.  I can't wait.  Take a listen to this song.

Blessing of the Day: Dinner with Chuck and Maryanne.
Thanks for stopping by today.
Blessings,
