Fall Festival

A tradition in our house since the kids could walk was Fall Festival instead of Halloween.  Each year we would have fun activities we'd do as a family.  One thing I would do is make a shirt for each of the kids.  Here's Ben in his.  One year we opened carmel candies, heated them and made caramel apples.  It was fun watching Ben open a candy and pop it in his mouth, then open a few more and put them in the bowl.  We played games and one year we got Ben and Sarah miners head lamps and let them look for their candy and small gifts in the dark.  It was a blast.  We only had a few low light lamps on so they wouldn't be scared.  Our kids and our family built family memories this way and had great times together just like families do who celebrate Halloween.

Tonight Tim, Sarah and I watch the movie Sixth Sense.  It is one of the best movies I've seen.  Before it was over, Sarah figured it out.  Smart kid!

Today I was able to make several cards to finish up the Hope You Can Count On Challenges. Here are my cards for those.  The first two had to have at least one heart or a heart in a heart on them.  I stamped a full sheet of cardstock with a set that uses two-step stamping. I then used framelits to cut the paper for my cards.

This challenge shows the other half of the cardstock I stamped.  This challenge you had to make a card that thanked someone for something.  This will be a card that a resident of the cancer center can use to give to someone.
This last card had a challenge to make a black and white card and add one color to highlight it.  Love this Santa with blue eyes.
This card's challenge was to use masking.  I masked the text off then stamped the flowers.
I found a few things I loved from Facebook.
This really spoke to me today.  Lately I've been letting negativity get to me.
My Christmas stamp came today!  Woo-hoo!  I can't wait to use it.  Thanks Susan again for the blog prize!
