I Won, I Won!

I WON, I WON!!!  I won a Merry Christmas Stamp!

******  BLOG CANDY WINNER ******
The winner of the “Merry Christmas” sentiment stamp by Stampabilities was post #6 – Bensarmom . Congrats, Bensarmom!! I will be emailing you to get your snail mail addy.

I can't wait to see this special by Billy Graham on his birthday, November 7th.   Here's a snippet.

I made a few cards today.  The first card was a color challenge, which was to use brown sugar, melon mambo and wasabi green.  This challenge to me had to be Santa or a flower with the colors used. I chose Santa since this just arrived! This is my favorite Santa stamp. Do you have a favorite Santa stamp? I stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink then used my aqua painter and inks to color the jolly man. Next I added the embossing then the ribbon. I liked the snowflakes swirling around him so I added those with the embossing folders. I like the green eyes, but I'm going to try different colors to see which I like best.
I stamped all sorts of greetings to cheer up the receiver. I used all sorts of colors as well. I sponged in pink. I stamped the background in different sayings and different colors too. I embossed the card base, then added the main panel and added the heart.  This card will go with 30 others to Texas for women with cancer.
Today's challenge is to make a card to share with another teapotter. You were to make a card to show what you'd dress up as for Halloween. I'd be a sparkly butterfly and add some lace. I'd love to be able to fly above God's creation and see a sunrise.
I sponged the sky placing a 3/4" circle there to be the sun, then ripped paper to go across the horizon. I used a dauber and sponges to sponge the horizon and foreground. I stamped the grasses and added the lace. I love the color blue so my butterfly is blue and blue/green. A teapotter is another woman who participates in the teapotter challenge on SCS where 3 of the 4 weeks we make a card for the challenge and send it to the person listed if we want to.  It's fun to do this and sometimes you see a picture of the recipient and how happy they are.  They are amazed that people who don't know them would make and send a card to them.  That's what we do, because we love it.

Ok, so I'm crying happy tears when I found these pictures and just had to share.
This is Ben and Sarah sitting in front of the fireplace eating dinner.  That was one of the fun things we did when it was cold enough to have the fire going and Dad wasn't home for dinner.  Sometimes we'd do it for lunch as well.  We'd put pillows on the floor and move the coffee table in front of the fire and talk, laugh and eat.  Looks like peanut butter waffles, yogurt and cheese-its.
This is a picture of Ben and Sarah wearing the funny glasses.  We were at a friend of the family's house who gave these to them.  They had such fun with these that night.  Even in their PJ's they were laughing and fooling around with them.
This was quite a memorable set of pictures.  Ben and Sarah reenacted Mary and Joseph's story.  Sarah, I mean Mary, had just had her baby and was so happy that people came to adore him.  Ben played the part of Joseph.  It was funny to see Ben pulling a stuffed animal that pregnant Mary was on.  This was a play they planned and asked us to come and sit down and watch.  It was so precious!

Okay now I'm in tears reliving those precious memories.  I love going through old pictures.  I need to update my digital frame on my desk here.
Blessing of the Day: Spending fun Mother/Daughter shopping time together.
Thank you for stopping by.
Blessings,
