Someone said that Billy asked if they had a birthday party for him would anyone come? What a humble and modest man. Take a listen to this and see what you think.
This cute Sweet-n-Sassy snowman is staring at THE star and the card reads, "Do you see what I see?" Today's challenge on SCS was to use foil.
I stamped the snowman and colored him. Then I colored the sky and added the embossing which says, "Do you see what I see?" and stamped on the foil then found a snowflake it matched well and lined it up under the embossing folder. It was embossed then cut out and mounted with a dimensional. I also added a layer of foil behind the stars layer. This is one of my favorite Christmas stamps.
Backwards is the final word for the title. This is a picture of Ben and Sarah years ago when we celebrated backwards day. What's Backwards Day, you ask? Well, it was a fun day I made up years ago during summer vacation when kids tend to get bored.
Backwards Day began by dressing backwards. As kids, these guys could still get pants on backwards. Of course it helps when you wear sweats! LOL We began our day with dinner. That meant we began with dessert which was usually something chocolaty. Then we'd have something like ham and eggs or peanut butter waffles, or chicken nuggets.
We'd usually go somewhere so people would see us. It was fun to hear people tell the kids that their shirt was on backwards. The kids would laugh because the people didn't know our secret. Sometimes they would tell the unsuspecting people what we were doing. Most thought it was a fun idea.
We would sometimes go to the library to get books, go out to eat for lunch, go to the grocery store or shop in Target or someplace like that so we'd get noticed.
At the end of the day, we'd eat breakfast which could be whatever they wanted. It could be cereal and milk, oatmeal, waffles with peanut butter, toast with peanut butter and jelly. We of course would take pictures like this to remind us of how we celebrated the day. Dad didn't like to eat breakfast after working all day, so we'd make something for him that was really dinner.
Looking at this picture brings back so many wonderful memories. The kids loved baseball, Winnie the Pooh and company as well as Arthur. This was early in the house as this is Ben's room which was decorated in a dinosaur theme before we moved in. We eventually changed it to all baseball for him.
So now you know the story about Billy-See-Backwards! Maybe sometime I'll tell you about kid's day or utensils day.
Blessing of the Day: I got to work in Emily's classroom today and helped a little girl work on something when I saw her crying quietly. Thanks God for showing me she needed help.
Thanks for stopping by.
Blessings,
