Sunflowers, Cards, Praising God in Song

This is a picture of a sunflower field right here in Ohio.  I love sunflowers so this really made my day.  You know what else made my day?  Middlefield, OH is the third best place in the WORLD to see fall colors.  Can you believe that?  Middlefield is Amish country with rolling hills and buggies with horses clip-clopping down the road.  I love the peaceful sound of the clip-clopping down the road.  I wouldn't want to be in a buggy though. Too many people in cars just aren't careful about driving down there.
I'd love to see a sunflower field and be able to walk through it.  Maybe some day......

 This card was for the clean and simple challenge this week where we were honoring Brenda-tessduck.  I chose a card of hers from her gallery and changed a few things and came up with this.  I embossed the leaves in white then inked the background with sponges.

 This was for today's color challenge.  The colors were vanilla, blackberry and honey.  I had these Our Daily Bread Designs borders and couldn't wait to use them.  This is what I came up with.

 This is a birthday present gift card holder.  The directions are from here on Lorri's blog.  I really like how this came out.  It took me a while to figure out how to do the bow so I was happy with it, but now it's done.

 This is the card I did today for the Teapotter's Challenge.  The card is going to an English teacher.  We were supposed to use a book, but this is the closest I have to a book was words of scripture.  I like how this turned out.  The set is called Randi's Song from Our Daily Bread Designs.

Blessing of the Day:Going out to dinner with Chuck and Maryanne.  We decided we needed a night out and went to Stancato's restaurant.  We'll resume Bible Study next week.
