Baby, Bandaids, Cards, Children, Christmas, Chris

Welcome to my niece's new baby, Adam. He is the first grandchild on both sides of the family.  He was born last evening in Indiana. Beka and Brett now have to get his stuff set up so it's ready when he comes home.
Adam Harrison Lusher, born at 9:50 pm, 4 lbs. 1 oz. 12 and a quarter inches long. 2 months early, but so far he's healthy & breathing on his own.
He will be kept in the neonatal intensive care unit for 4-5 weeks until he is ready to go home.  Praise the Lord he is healthy and breathing on his own.

On the Medical Front: I'm walking without a cane! Praise God!  I have pain from area of injection down my back.  I have pain down my hip to my ankle but it's not nearly as bad as it was.  I'm dealing with it using my Ibuprofen.  I rested but didn't need a nap today.  I drove myself to the pharmacy to pick up some meds and household items.  I got bandaids, and haven't bought them for years and years.  Probably the last time was when kids were little and I was buying Winnie The Pooh and
Teletubbies.

Here are a few cards I'll be finishing and sending to a group that uses cards to encourage kids who have been abused, beaten, homeless, etc.  The staff writes cards to encourage the kids they work with.  The kids can also use the cards to encourage friends.

Liked this and shared on FB.  Anything to encourage those around you, ya know?
I tell you I'm so thankful God is watching over us with all that's going on in the world.  Most of my family will be in heaven with me for eternity.
The older I get the more I see how my elders got to the point of saying they didn't want or need anything physical for Christmas.
This is me the older I get.  I don't care about so many of the things I used to.

My verse for today. My soul thirsts for God.

This is a new song for Chris Tomlin, called Good Good Father.  Take a listen.  For some reason the title doesn't seem appropriate for God.  He's more than a good Father.  The song is well done so I'll set the title aside for now.
Blessing of the Day: I'm feeling less pain.
I talked to my sister Annie, who is a new grandma tonight.  I told her, her grandma name should be, "Granny Annie!"  We both laughed at that one.  I"m sure she hoped it was a gag name.  I wonder how people get their grandparent names.  We called my mom, Grandma Dottie, and Tim's parents, Grandma and Grandpa Craig.

Growing up I called my grandmothers, Grandma Mary, and Grandma Frances.  We just called my grandfather, grandpa or Gramps since he was the only grandfather we had.

Thank you for stopping by.
Rita, what a blessing you've been.
Blessings,

Sue, I was so excited to read that your pain is much better and not only are you walking without a cane, but you were able to drive and do some shopping today! I was praying for you just a few minutes before reading your post .... now I'm offering up praises to the Lord for His mercy and goodness! What an awesome Savior we worship!! Hugs, Rita
