Christmas 2020 Is One Week Away

This is one of my favorite pictures for the Christmas Season. I love the words here; they are true.

When I grew up we believed in Santa. We were good, little Catholics who went to church each Sunday. No time ever, did I have a relationship with Jesus Christ.

It wasn't until I was an adult, that I learned the truth and accepted the Lord as my Savior. My kids were raised in that Christian belief. The thing I want most, is to have my kids accept the Lord as their Savior and spend eternity in Heaven.

Here is a picture of the card you'll see in the video, below.

Check out my new video on how to make a double-Z, gatefold card. This is similar to the card we made this month in my class.

Today, I spent time Stamping with Jan. We have a list of things we want to do. Today was alcohol ink on Yupo paper. Yupo paper is non-porous paper. We used different colors of alcohol ink with alcohol blending solution. Once it's on the paper you blow it with a straw or small pump that blows the ink around on the paper. Adding the blending solution pushes the ink away from itself to create a fun look.
Here are 3 sample. I can see why Jennifer McGuire has trouble stopping when she was making these! The become addictive. LOL

I love how they came out so I probably with do basic lettering and let the colors make the card.
This is a card I made last week when stamping with Jan.  I used my Stamparatus to stamp the animals on one side, then turned it and stamped them again and colored them with Copic Markers.
Oh my, these donkeys are part of Sale-A-Bration, beginning in January. The set is called, Darling Donkeys. It is a FREE set with a $50 order before tax and shipping.  I had lots of fun playing with this.

I had fun playing with this set again. The embossing folder is called, Painted Texture. I used direct to paper to add ink to the card front.  The stamps used were: Darling Donkey, Many Messages(magical moments), Art Impressions-Castle Cubbies(magic wand).
I asked Jan to borrow this cute, little reindeer. He is a stamp from Gerda Steiner. I loved the little birds that came with him. When I saw them, I knew I wanted to to include some in the snow.  I stamped and colored the images. I sponged the frame to soften the white color. Then I used,  Snowfall Accents Puff Paint from Stampin' Up (retired) to make lots of snow.

Here's a song by Sanctus Real called, Unstoppable God-Listen to the lyrics. Soon you'll be singing along.

I can't believe Christmas is a week away. This month has flown by.

Verse of the Day: Matthew 1:21

Blessings of the Day:
I tried a new technique and stamped and laughed with Jan. Tim is adding stain to his desk. It will be done by Christmas.
We got to talk to Ben tonight. Ben passed his RBT test this morning. He is now a Registered Behavior Technician!  That means more money for him as well as now being able to work with autistic children from service men and women.

Thank you for stopping by.
Blessings,
Sue
Rachel is not feeling well. If she isn't better tomorrow, she will have a COVID test.

I so enjoy reading your blog. You have such diverse and lovely cards you share with us. Thank you.
I think what I really enjoy is that you’re a local girl, east/south east CLE girl and I’m a NW CLE girl so I really enjoy when you talk about local places and dealings. I love that you were still harvesting from your garden near thanksgiving! Your husband is amazing to have completes so much work in your beloved home.
You are worried about your DiL having to take the test. I had the test at Fairview hospital and found it difficult, but over in minutes. My second test was at Rocky River Urgent Care. Well, it used to be an urgent care, now it’s just testing! Must be big money in that ! Anyway, the test there was much much better. They let you do the swabbing and it doesn’t have to be stuck back quite as far as the first test. I hope she doesn’t need to be tested and she’s feeling better!

Today,12/19, you posted about growing up Catholic and never had a relationship with God. That is so very sad and a true indication of the poor education the Church has fallen to. I, too, was brought up Catholic with 12 years Catholic education. I cannot say I learned much from that, and probably wouldn’t be Catholic today except my mom, grandparents, and aunt, of whom were very much a part of my life, were devout Catholics and taught me the faith. We believe that the Holy Eucharist is the body, blood, soul, and divinity of Jesus Christ. How can one receive Jesus more perfectly? I always say if Catholics actually believed Jesus was in the tabernacle, there wouldn’t be any room in Church. But sadly, even out priests, bishops, and higher up don’t believe. I’m glad you were able to find Jesus and keep Him mine part of your life. May God bless you and your lovely family. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Mari
