House Mouse Is In The House

 Hey Everybody,

I'm here again with another card I CASED from a gallery on Splitcoaststampers.

Linda's challenge for us today can be found here.  Here is my inspiration for my card.

I have to say there were many cards that I wanted to CASE but after seeing several House Mouse cards, I decided to do a House Mouse card.

I changed the orientation to vertical instead of horizontal. I loved the weaving on the card so I did the whole background instead of a cut out behind the mouse. My cut out behind the mouse is a square instead of an oval. I used a different sentiment and colors.

I used the same stamp. He's just so cute, I couldn't resist!

He was colored with Copic Markers and the teacup was outlined with gold marker. I cut the designer series paper into 1/2" strips and wove them into a background. I added the image panel with dimensionals. Then I added the sentiment on a strip of designer paper and added the butterflies.

Isn't it interesting how two people can start with the same stamp and come up with completely different ideas of how to use it on their card?  I have to say, most times when I make a card, it comes together step-by-step. I don't usually have a picture in my mind of what the final card will look like.

Is that how you make cards? Or do you have a picture in your mind of what it will look like in the end?
Let me know your process.
Thanks for stopping by.
Blessings,
Sue
