Hey Everybody,
I'm back again and this time it's with a technique. It's called watercolor block technique.
Take a look at the card I made for a Splitcoaststampers challenge. Our challenge was to use a rainbow or rainbow colors on our clean and simple card design.
Supplies you'll need:
Water based markers
water spritzer
acrylic block
stamp set that stamps solid images
white cardstock
How to:
With water based markers, color your acrylic block. You can use one or more than one color.
Here I started with red, then colored purple, then back to orange, then blue and so on.
I spritzed the block with water and stamped the marker onto the white cardstock.
I let the block sit there for a minute or two so the color would soak into the paper.
I lifted the block and blotted the extra water with a paper towel.
You can use a heat tool to dry this or let it air dry. Once dry, stamp with your image stamp and black ink. Stamp your sentiment and any secondary images like my butterfly.
Add gems, ribbon or whatever else you want to accessorize your card.
Add layers behind your image panel.
Here is another card I made using the same technique but different colors.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you like this technique. I hope you give it a try.
Blessings,
Sue
