Hey Everybody,
Today's card was made for a challenge called, The Teapot Challenge. These challenges are where you can ask to have cards sent to someone who is ill, has lost a loved one, or is going through a difficult time. This week, we are sending cards to a man named, Mike who is having health issues and cannot get outside.
Sabrina's challenge can be found here. I decided I'd take Mike to my favorite place, which is the ocean. He could smell the sea air, listen to the sea gulls squawk and the waves roll in, watch the terns run along the water's edge and collect shells if he's so inclined. He can pretend he's there by watching a YouTube video with a fan lightly blowing in his face. I started this by ripping the two-tone paper. This cardstock is two sided with shades of the same color on each side. The ultrasmooth surface makes it an ideal paper for stamping, giving you clean, crisp images. DETAILS - 12" x 12" (30.5 x 30.5 cm) - 12 sheets: Bubble Bath (4), Old Olive (2), Petunia Pop (4), Pool Party (2) - White core - Acid free - Lignin free Colors: Bubble Bath, Old Olive, Petunia Pop, Pool Party I used this since it has white in the center. I used the dots on Gorgeous Grunge to make the sand. I stamped the terns and shells on the beach. I stamped and cut out shells, seaweed and a starfish. They were added with dimensionals. I added Wink of Stella to the white on the waves and the sand to make them sparkle. Then I added frosted gems to add a bit of color and shine in the sand. |

Think about the stamps you have. What do you have that would show nature? It could be as simple as a bird in a tree or a fish in the water.
Maybe you have a butterfly or even a spider in a web.
If you were making a card for Mike, what would you make? Give it a try won't you?
How did you do?
Thanks for stopping by today. It's always appreciated. I hope you enjoyed your time here.
Blessings,
Sue
