What Is Royalty To You?

 Hey Everybody,

Nancy's challenge was royalty which can be found here.

As I was going through my Christmas stamps, I saw, Let Earth Receive Her King, first. Then I knew which stamp I had to find. This High Hopes stamp is an old favorite of mine from way back.
I stamped the image in versafine black ink then colored it with watercolor pencils. I used my water painter to blend the pencils. I stamped the sentiment in the top, right with night of navy ink.

Keywords: WT1061 King of Kings Jesus Christmas
Stamps: SU-The Sounding Joy, High Hopes-Sweet Savior
Paper: white, silver, night of navy
Paper Size: A2
Ink: versafine black, night of navy
Accessories: Stampin' Up and Derwent watercolor pencils, water brush
Techniques: water coloring

What do you have in your collection that you could use for this challenge?

At first I thought castles, princes and princesses. I have a cute castle with little things that go with it.

Then I thought, Christmas in July. I could use Just a sentiment. Then I looked through my stamps and saw the sentiment I used. I automatically thought of what stamp I could use. It's interesting the steps my brain goes through to decide what to use for a card.

That's a lot of thinking all before deciding designer paper and colors and layout. That's a lot of brain work involved in this process of card making isn't it? LOL

I think the reason I love this stamp is that I 'met' the artist online years ago when she was just starting with this company. She was a very sweet, Christian lady whose heart was filled with the Lord.

Life for both of us moved on but I still keep those sweet memories connected with this stamp. I use this stamp each Christmas for several cards to reconnect with that sweet spirit of a lady that drew the image.

Well, enough of the rambling. I thank you very much for visiting. It is truly appreciated.

Blessings,

Sue
