Tie Dye Wax Paper Resist

 Hey Everybody,

Today's card is a technique card. The technique is called  Tie Dye Wax Paper Resist. It can be found here.

I started in the center with pretty in pink ink, then added strawberry slush. The outer ring was highland heather. Then I stamped the scene with versafine black ink. (which does not dry quickly even when heat set.) I noticed that the wax made some of the image bead-up.
I stamped on the purple strip of glossy cardstock and die cut it. It was added with dimensionals. This will go on a patient tray at a local hospital.

Keywords: TLC1070
Stamps: Prairie Grass
Paper: glossy, white
Paper Size: A2
Ink: pretty in pink, strawberry slush, highland heather, versafine black
Accessories: Jillilan Vance Designs-So Many Stitched Sentiment Strips, blending brushes, wax paper
Techniques: Tie Dye Wax Paper Resist

I ran into a problem with using the Versafine black ink. It took a long time to dry. I ended up smearing the image at the bottom, left of the card. I used Versafine black to get a crisp image, but with it taking so long to dry I'll have to use something else next time. I will use Stazon black ink next time.

Have you ever done this technique? Will you give it a try? Let me know what you think.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Blessings,

Sue
