Hey Everybody,
Today I have a couple of cards to show you.
Our challenge can be found here. We're to use a puzzle on our card.
I stamped and die cut the image. (Next time, I'll stamp and color the image, THEN die cut it.) I had places where the pieces wanted to come out. I colored the bunny with Copic Markers. Then I colored the heart center with Gold Metallic marker.(Make sure you use a well ventilated area.) Then I cut a frame for the heart. The puzzle was added with glue and the sentiment and two puzzle pieces were added with a dimensional.

| Nancy's challenge is to use fruit on your card. Her challenge can be found here. I stamped this cutie pie on white cardstock with Memento tuxedo black ink. I colored with Copic Markers. The seeds were colored with a fine line Sharpie marker. I added black embellishments and a red bow. The image was added to the red and white checkered paper which was dry embossed with a watermelon and seeds embossing folder. This reminds me of being a kid and eating watermelon outside in the summer. I had 6 siblings and we'd try to spit seeds at each other. Yup, years ago watermelons had seeds! LOL |
We had a patio with a green fiberglass panel over it like this. There were metal poles holding it up over our picnic table and cinderblock patio in our back yard. It made the picnic area a bit darker but it protected you from the sun and the rain.
During the summer we'd often eat on the patio which was much cooler than eating in the kitchen. We'd take our paper plate in and get a piece of watermelon for dessert. We'd take that watermelon to the patio to eat it. If mom and dad happened to be away from the patio we'd start seed fights and spit seeds at each other. What fun that was!
When mom or dad would return to the patio, we'd spit our seeds into the bushes which were around the patio, like we were supposed to. LOL
We had 7 kids in our family so it was a busy house with lots of activity. Think of the things your kids get into. Now think if you had 7 kids. This was before computers and our tv had 3 channels. We used rabbit ears for an antennae on our tv.
