Hey Everybody, Today I have two cute, cute cards. Our weather has settled down as far as snow, but we still have cold winds blowing. Tim and I went out today to get a few things and were glad we could get in and out to shop and get home. Kids will probably have school tomorrow but possibly not Friday. Our wind chills are supposed to go below zero Friday.
Today I have two challenges. The first one is a color challenge. Karen's color challenge can be found here.
I stamped this cutey-pie in Versafine black ink. I colored the image with Stampin' Write markers. My fifth color was pink. The bunny was colored with Copic markers. I stamped the snowflake in boho blue. The sentiment was stamped in real red and punched out with a 1 1/4" circle punch. I edged it with a red dauber. The sentiment was added with a dimensional. This will go on a dinner tray at a local hospital.

| Our challenge from Lisa today is pets. You can find the challenge here. I die cut the two hearts and used the embossing folder on the designer series paper heart and the card base. I stamped with Memento tuxedo black ink and colored with Copic Markers. I used a dauber to edge the heart in red ink. I added the white heart with dimensionals. A glue dot was added to the bow. This will go on a dinner try at a local hospital.
Both sentiments are from Unity Stamps. I emailed the owner and thanked her for her cute images and heartfelt sentiments. Like these sentiments you see today, they work so well for my Card Ministries. Who wouldn't want a hug or extra love in their day? The owner emailed back that she was nearly crying from my kind words. She appreciated hearing that her stamps are being used to help others feel better through different card ministries. Think about it, do you have someone in your life or someone you've just come across that has done something they didn't have to do? We used to call these types of things, Acts of Kindness. From the time when my kids were little, I'd tell them, "If you see someone who needs help, and you can help, do it." Their world was school, church and sports of some kind. There were lots of places and plenty of opportunities to help others. Twice I got a note or phone call from a parent that one of my kids helped their child. Nothing better than a proud Mom moment. Of course I'd pass the info onto my kids and we'd thank God for their love and caring for others. I know Tim and I didn't raise our kids alone. We had lots and lots of help from God, teachers, family and friends. When our kids left PHCA their teachers all got a small spider plant. The plant was originally given to me by preschool when Ben graduated. We kept that plant alive and well and it was proudly passed on to those who helped my kids grow in the Lord and in Life Skills. My point is, everyone can use a kind word or deed. They don't even have to know it was you who did something nice for them! Well, that's it for now. I'm going to stamp with a friend tomorrow. I love stamping with others. Stay warm, Stay Safe and be well. Blessings, Sue |
