Hey Everybody,
This is called a teapot challenge on Splitcoast Stampers. It's a challenge where someone asks for cards to be made for someone. You can make a card and send it or not, you are not obligated even if you play in the challenge. Check out what this challenge is right here.
I knew I wanted to do a colorful background so I used blending brushes on white paper to ink up the background with old olive, pretty peacock and peaceful pine. I put this through my embossing machine with the colored side facing the debossed side.(side without the writing on it.) The embossing folder I used was a Sizzix folder called, Leaves.
Once it was embossed I pulled a black ink pad over it which is called, the blackout technique.
I stamped the flowers and parrot then colored the parrot with Copic Markers. The parrot is from a Your Next Stamp set called Parrot-dise. The sentiment is from a Hero Arts set called, Hello Luscious. I fussy cut the images and added them to the card with dimensionals. I added a googly eye to the parrot just to make him a bit cuter.
