One of my favorite artists is Thomas Kinkade. I use at least one of his calendars each year to add household appts. to. When the stamps came out I just had to have a few of them. I was making these as Holiday cards for those that might not want a Santa or Jesus on their card. It is part of SCS's LSC140 challenge where you had to make a flat card with just a few layers. I also had many of the same pieces of cardstock and paper to use so I tried to greatly vary what I did with each card. I love lighthouses because of my love of the ocean and God too. I had a most wonderful trip to the ocean one summer where I fell in love with the sound of the ocean. Just as the lighthouse is the light on a dark night in the ocean, God is a light in the darkness of life. Nothing fills me with safety like God's protection and love. He guides me every step in spite of how I disappoint and pain Him. Oh to love like that........we'll never know that kind of love until Heaven. May you follow the lighted path God has for you. May you know the safety of His love and protection.
