Baby It's Cold and Windy Outside!
So, here's my entry for the Blog challenge on Linda Anderson's blog. You had to make a Christmas card without using Real Red or Garden Green. I'm having fun with my tapestry rod stamps. They are so tiny. This also qualified for Jen's limited supply challenge Friday on SCS.
You had to use mini stamps. I used all of the 'in' colors for SU. I bought empty spots and refills and made my own spots! I think that was a pretty clever idea. My upline and I did this together. Anyway, today I've had fun making and posting cards here and on SCS. Can you believe I have more cards than this but didn't want to bore you.
Take care and take time to talk to God today. Not only that, take time to LISTEN to God today.
Blessings and Hugs until we visit again. You are precious to God and to me.
The challenge on SCS today was to use tiles.......well many people didn't have tiles so we were told we could use coasters. So, I stamped pine needles and pine cones around the edges and added some red berries then mod podged the coaster. Then I placed the picture on top. Don't mod podge the picture or it will smear the ink. (Ask me how I know!) LOL
This will be hung on our Christmas tree as an ornament. It is fun to see how we've changed over the years you know? I might even go back and put some of our other family pictures on coasters to compare. You know how you start something when you're newly married or the kids are babies, then you don't have time to continue it? Well I have ornaments that I purchased to put pictures into and never got the pictures into them. Soon, we'll get the boxes out so I'll try again.
I am so thankful that God has given me my husband and kids. I truly believe he's a gift from heaven.(Most days!)
So what's a mom to do who has to stay home with a sick child on a cold and blustery day? I say she should tend to her darling child but stamp when she can! That's what I've been doing today. My DD is home with the flu so I am home with her. I am catching up on SCS challenges. These two cards show metallic paper. The top one was run through the Cuttlebug then stamped with alcohol inks on a felt pad. I liked how it looked the the snowflakes were different colors. The second card with the ice skaters was stamped with the alcohol inks without the cuttlebug. I drew silver pen lines where the skaters have skated already. The bottom card was also made for the Inspiration Challenge on SCS this past Saturday. It was a page of mittens so you were to make a card with that as your inspiration.
I like adding this new stamp about Jesus to my Christmas cards. Hey, I'm looking at this and it appears that this might qualify for Linda's blog challenge of making a Christmas card without real red and garden green!
I'm constantly reminded about God's goodness and grace. He is merciful towards me and I in turn must be merciful to others. Isn't that hard with those we are closest to? Praying that God will continue to work in my life and yours as well.
Blessings and Hugs until next time.
