Look Ma, No Flowers!
Can ya believe it? I made a card without flowers?! I wonder when the last time that happened. This is a panel I received from my upline in a thank you card. She stamped several in different colors. I had a scrap of coral left over, so I proceeded to make this card. I used my small background stamp to make it look a little like the background paper. I like the look of the coral on the ribbon as well. I've not stamped on ribbon in a while and think it looks great.
Today was an awful day at work. I needed my therapy room badly when I got home. My students were very argumentative and mean to each other and me. Once they get in trouble for something they can get mad cuz they know that they will have a report going home telling their parents what happened at school. Three of the boys in my class laughed and made fun of a boy who couldn't do something in gym today. The boy's feelings were hurt. We have a no tolerance policy for this. The kids that did it had to stay in for recess and write an apology. They also had to write what they should have done and problem solve this so it won't happen again.
I actually had a mom call me today and ask why her son got a behavior report for this behavior. If it were her son I'm sure she wouldn't want someone making fun of him.
It would be refreshing to talk to a parent who believes teachers and punishes their kid or even better, teaches their kids so we don't have to deal with this kind of behavior.
One kid does things, gets in trouble and gets mad at me for giving him consequences......like I made him do it ya know?
Can ya tell it's been one of those days!?
I am so thankful to come home to the kids I have. Amen!
Thanks for visiting today. Have a great night.

This is a great card!!!
Sue, this comes from the kid who got teased in gym class mercilessly...thank you. I wish an adult had stepped in when I was in Jr High being teased so terribly. I was overweight, inept and terribly shy. I eventually lost all the weight and have kept it off, but I haven't forgotten what that was like being teased. You involved yourself, dealing with apathetic (or worse) parents because that kid didn't have a voice loud enough to be heard. You may have had a crummy day, but that some incredible stuff you do. Thank you for taking the heat.
Sue, I love all of the dots and the sentiment! I pray the lesson you taught today is something that will affect the kids the rest of their lives. Just remember just because you do not see an immediate result a seed has been planted! Here's a wish for a better day today!
Such a cute card. Sorry about your day.
