I have to tell you my 13 year old son had me in tears tonight. He asked if he could talk to me in his room. When I got there he handed me a page-long note tell me he'd like our family to adopt a boy from Africa since they have such horrible living conditions. This young man told me in his note he'd be willing to give up all the money he's saved, his allowance, his pets, his going out to eat, going places with friends that need money, even Christmas and Birthday money he gets from family. He also said he didn't need gifts for Christmas and Birthday, just an adopted brother from Africa.
Needless to say, we called his dad into the room to discuss this and pray about it. We'll see what God wants us to do with this request. I have to tell you, never in a million years would I have imagined this!
Please pray for our family and my 13 year old.
