Been Busy with Scripture

This was CASED from Rainy's directions found here:http://rainy.blogs.splitcoaststamper...psalms-119105/
It is a Bible Verse Challenge started by Lori Craig found here:http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/fo...d.php?t=314077
Here is the box I made to put my Bible Verses in.
Thanks ladies for such fabulous directions and ideas. I'm just starting now so I'll do May and work my way through the year. The box Rainy made she used picture hooks. I chose some colored brads I had and used thick glue dots to adhere the brads to the box. Great idea Rainy!

Here is my first verse to memorize for this challenge. It is James 1:17, Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of heavenly lights.
I chose my favorite Thomas Kinkade Lighthouse. I stamped it in Sepia them colored in guava with a cotton ball. I added yellow with marker for the light. The paper is Afternoon Tea by SU. Dimensionals are behind the scripture verse.

This is a double challenge tonight. I made this for my Bible Challenge Box and for Inspiration Challenge 128. When I saw the amethyst candle I knew exactly what I wanted to do for it. I stamped black ink using floral background on amethyst card stock. The used blossoms abound with amethyst and eggplant for the image.

This was for a double challenge tonight. I made this for my Bible Challenge Box and for Ways to use it 166, to use inchies.

This is for a double challenge tonight. It is for my Bible Challenge Box as well as for Limited Supply Challenge 168. The limited supply challenge was to use alphabet letters as a focal point. I also wanted to include my Bible verse on this for my box. The Footprints image was embossed with black ep then the clouds were stamped in bashful blue. The water and sand were colored with markers.

This is for a double challenge tonight. It is for the Bible Challenge and the card sketch 176 challenge.
I love the verse, wait on the Lord.........that is truly a challenge for me! I want it in MY time not HIS. This really speaks to me.

This verse reminds me of the years my kids spent at PHCA, a Christian Academy for K-6. Their school verse one year was this one. They tried to have everyone live up to those Fruits of the Spirit. I thought this went perfectly with the fun summer paper from the SU mini catalog. I also colored the apple from Sun-Ripened II with markers then added crystal effects to the apple. This will be another verse to hang on my box to memorize one month.

I am excited to begin working on Bible memorization this way. What a great way to blend my art with my beliefs. I'm praying it helps to make me a better Christian and a better example to my children.
May God continue to watch over and guide you. May you feel His presence each day.
Bless you for visiting today.

Sue I love your scripture box! Love the idea of using the brads. That's much easier than the hooks! You have some gorgeous scripture cards, too.
