Have you ever had times when the new stamps you have are hard to use? I sometimes have that happen to me. This was a day where I wasn't sure I liked the outcome either. I am posting though because maybe someone can give me ideas of what else I can do to these two cards.
The first one is Rose Garden from Thomas Kinkade. I wanted just the roses to stand out so that's all I colored. I stamped in sepia versafine.
Fresh Cuts is a stamp set my upline let me borrow while her DH is on vacation this week. I can't believe that she let me play with it first. She's never used it! I told her it just wasn't right to use someone else's stamps before they did! LOL Anyway, I'm trying to do different things with it. This is embossed with black embossing powder and versamark. I colored with markers the leaves, flowers and sky. I added black paper behind my square and flower to make it pop. What do you think?
I continue to hear of more and more people who are suffering with sickness or cancer. It really makes me so sad to hear this so often. I have been busy making cards and sending them filled with prayers and hugs to those who need them. I found that one of my spiritual gifts is that of encouragement. I love to make cards and send them to those in need of some sunshine in their life. God gets all the glory here though. It's Him, not me who has the talent and ability. I'm just being directed by Him to do His work while I'm here. Some days it's so hard to read the requests in the SCS Need a Lift forum. Sometimes I feel like I need to go somewhere to get a lift! God lets me know He's always there for me and He can take care of my every need. I forget that many times, do you? I pray that you can do what God asks of you in your part of the world. We all can make a difference in someone's life each day with a willing spirit and heart.
Hope you are blessed by the one who made us and are at peace with where you are in your life.
Bless you,
This is a place where I can share my love of family, stamping and the Lord.

Sue,
I love how you colored in just the flowers on the wall. I need to work more with the Fresh Notes set too. It has so much potential, it is just stuck in me....
I have that quite often (stumped by new stamps, that is!). I like what you've done with both sets.
I, too, get saddened by illness, especially serious illness. I think you definitely have been given the gift of encouragment. You're always so quick to comment and I can imagine the recipients of your cards and kind words are very happy. Keep it up!
Your Thomas Kinkade card is lovely! You did a great job with it :-) it turned out beautiful!
