Sometimes I'm Amazed!

Sometimes I'm amazed at what I can do when I try. My son showed me what he was doing in school in Algebra and I took one look at it and said I couldn't remember how to do these problems. He went through one problem with me and I remembered it. We did the rest of the problems he had for homework and we compared answers. I thought it was fun!!! Here is a small sampling of what we did.

Now then onto the matter of card making tonight! This was a double challenge. It was CC168 working with sage, vanilla and choc chip, as well as the sketch challenge 178. Again this was a working challenge for me because using Fresh Cuts has definitely been a challenge for me. Choc chip and sage stamped on vanilla. Scallop was made using corner rounder then applying twill and adding the square shape with eyelets. The small flowers were stamped on sage with sage and cut out and put on with dimensionals. I applied stickles in the centers of the flowers. I used the large and small tag punches and stamped in sage using lace background then Happy Hellos in choc chip.

This is stipple rose which was watercolored with crayons then sakura gel pen was used on top. Markers were used for the background around the flowers. The background on the apricot cardstock is bubblewrap stamped in celery ink. Look how cool this is, it looks like a flower!

My kids are so excited. They have 5 days of school left. I have 9 days. It's so hard to go to school when they get to stay home. Of course it wasn't hard in August when they went to school 5 days before me and I had a week at home to myself! LOL
I think it's time to put this tired brain to sleep. It's been a tiring day. Ya know when you're missing your right hand assistant, a day can be VERY long!
Take care and thanks for visiting today. I pray you give and receive comfort and love today.
Bless you,
