Here are the cards we made. I was so surprised by what one gal did last night. I had emailed her that due to work the day before I was so sore I was in bed longer than I anticipated. This gal put together several cards to do at the Card Ministry so I could sleep! What a precious friend she is! Here are her designs:
We were asked to make some general cards that could go to either men or women. They wanted them to be able to be used for things like: thinking of you, praying for you, encouragement, etc. They also wanted a Bible verse on them somewhere.
Sounds like a monthly challenge doesn't it? LOL
This card was done with vanilla and caramel cardstock and caramel and navy inks. Grandma did the corners for us on this card.

This is the same card but done with ruby red and caramel. Part way through the making of the ruby red card the ladies wondered if they could make some that were navy so we accommodated them since we had a navy ink pad for another card. It's interesting that as we go along here, the ladies are beginning to add ideas and change things from the original design. This is neat to see since some of these ladies never stamped before. It's always easier to change something that's in front of you than to come up with the original idea, don't you think?

This is the final card my friend designed. Guess who did the border? Yep, our 94 year old grandma did these. I think she did about 25 of them! I think she did a fabulous job! She didn't want to give the job to anyone else either.

Here's the card I designed for tonight. I love this saying. We embossed the writing with black embossing powder and sponged in sky, the sky. The water was sponged with border blue and the sand was sponged by grandma with saffron. Navy cardstock was put behind this and a mustard color with cuttlebug behind that.

I designed a Graduation card as well. Our church wanted 25 more graduation cards. We've made 95 of these so far this year. We made a bookmark that pulls out of the front pocket. The pastors will sign the bookmark and card so the seniors will have something to use to remember their church family. It may not be appreciated now but as they get older, maybe the fact that pastors took the time to do this will affect them.

Tomorrow's the day my DS comes home from WV. I can't wait to hear how God has worked in his life and allowed him to work in other's lives.
God Bless you.
