Upon seeing that this test wasn't on cards for the doctors to use, it was assumed the test hadn't been done so it was done this morning..........three times.....They found the arteries didn't have good blood flow in her arms. So, if they'd have taken them she would have had problems with the blood flow in her arms and heart. She could have possible lost her arm!
Anyway, God allowed the error to be found before surgery so mom went home. They will do angioplasty then do the valve replacement.
This evening I just found out that my friend's husband died. He was diagnosed with mad cow disease 6 weeks ago and went downhill very rapidly. So very sad. This man who died just lost his dad a month ago. Please pray for Chris and her family as they try to deal with this huge loss.
On a brighter note, here is the card I did for the rick-rack challenge on SCS. I didn't have any rick-rack, so I made my own with pinking shears. I cut a strip of paper then went back and rounded the points. The flower is colored with watercolor crayons and an aqua painter.

I hope you are enjoying your summer. Here in my part of Ohio it's been a beautiful day. Sunny, breezy and warm today. Kids went swimming, we watched a baseball game and sat out back in our screened in porch. Sometimes it's fun to do family things, then to sit back and look at what God has given you.
Bless you for visiting today.

Sue, I LOVE this card. How clever to make the ric rack yourself. I'm sorry for the grief you're dealing with. So much right now, but God seems to throw in calm happy times too to "restoreth your soul". (Baseball and summer does wonders for me!)
Love the colors you used on this card...thanks for the inspiration!
