Hosted on SCS

I got to be the guest hostess for Technique Lovers Challenge today! Woohoo, what fun that was.
I found a technique called Chalk Pouncing and sent the idea to Beth. She asked if I'd like to hostess this week and make a sample. So.....I did. It was fun. Here's a link to the challenge.
It was so hard not to post my card the day I made it like I'm used to. I had to save it for today.
This is a new technique for me. I've done Poppin' Pastels before, but this adds a background first.
Check out this link for directions by Susan Chong. http://www.lasimppan.com/techchalkpouncing.htm
I experimented with sponges, cotton balls, and tissues. See what you can come up with by using these or other items to bring a texture to your background.
After the image was colored, I sprayed it with hairspray to seal it. Then added the ribbon and butterflies

I had a very laid back day today with my DD. She decided that we should have a PJ day. I Love, love, love PJ days! I usually don't get a whole lot done on pj days, but today I did. I even rode my recumbant bike again!
I got to be my DD's heroin tonight. She was getting ready to shower and there was a BIG bug with a million legs on the floor in the bathroom. She said she wouldn't touch it so I had to do it. It was a 2-tissue deal too! Yuck, when I squished it, a leg was wiggling on the floor with no body!
I know TMI-too much information. We screamed, I flushed it and we hugged and laughed. This is what memories are made of ! LOL
It's time to sit back and relax now at the end of our rainy day here in Ohio. I think I'll read and stamp.......can't think of anything better can you?
Thank you for visiting.

I had a lot of fun doing this technique as well, thanks for sharing it.
I know, the bug thing freaks me out too. I always close the door of whatever room it's in and wait for DH to get home!
