Colors I Love

Today on Splitcoast Stampers the color challenge was to use Pomegranate, Wasabi, and Celery. Two of the three are colors I use regularly so I didn't have a tough time at all. I did however take time to try to decide what to do with this 'new to me' set, Priceless. Sometimes when I get a new set, it takes me a while to get ideas and get used to it, ya know? I love the swirls in this set and thought I'd highlight them by using them as the border in the background. The rectangles were backed with black then fit together in the center of the card. I added small flowers in the center with a brad. I like dimension so I added the butterfly and saying with dimensionals.

The is a simple album can be found here at Colleen's blog. http://stampingoddess.typepad.com/st.../09/index.html
Thanks Colleen for the directions.
I used berry bliss paper for the cover. I stamped the flowers in brown ink then colored them with watercolors then a dauber. Pearls from the Pretties kit were used for the centers. The binding is held together with cocoa eyelets. Inside are 5 medium clear envelopes with paper so a mini scrapbook could be made or photos could be inserted.

My DS has been with a friend camping over the weekend, then asked if he could stay one more day with his friend now that they are home. It is nice to see him grow in his relationships with others and continue to see him grow in the Lord. He's a teen now and is beginning to look and act a little more mature.
My DD has been reading and doing things with me. She's thrilled that for another day she'll be like an only child. She's loving the attention she's getting.
Thanks for visiting today.
Hugs and Blessings,
