Lamps and Singing----Hmmmmmmm

This is the lighthouse and verse from my new set of stamps from Our Daily Bread, called Light of the World.
I used an aqua painter and watercolor crayons to color the image on watercolor paper, which was stamped with black stazon. I used designer paper from Basic Grey and copper brads.
I just love lighthouses and when I saw this set, I knew I had to have it. I have organized a Card Ministry at my church and am constantly looking for Christian stamps and Bible verses we can use for our cards.

This is for SC183. The bird is a Madagascar Red. It is a red bird with green and brown on it's wings and tail. I did some research to see if there were any birds that would kinda sorta match my paper. Anyway, this was stamped with black stazon then watercolored with crayons and an aqua painter.
It is amazing the difference between regular cardstock and watercolor paper to work with. The results with watercolor paper are beautiful and so blendable with the watercolor paper.

This is for Sketch Challenge 183. I am using my new Daily Bread Stamps called Sing to the Lord. Aren't they fabulous? Anyway this was watercolored with an aqua painter and WWC. I used Summer Picnic design paper and used the colors from the paper for the image. Celery is sponged around the edge of the image.

I've heard of so many people lately that are fighting such tough battles, whether it's cancer, depression, joblessness, overeating, etc. I'm praying for all of us tonight that God will set us on the path He wants us and that We are smart enough to stay on that path!
So many times I think I have a better plan! Ha-I find out all too soon that I don't and I'm reminded that I need to give things to God and LEAVE them there with Him.
I'm thankful He loves me and will love me forever. No one else can say that.
Take time out for God in your day. Talk to him and listen to Him.
Thanks for visiting.

I love these stamps too! Such a wonderful company, Our Daily Bread. Great choice of layout and papers. I especially like the dark matting; it really sets it off.

I truly share your prayer, Sue. So many people going through difficult times and I appreciate your point with how difficult it is to STAY on the right path. It's an ongoing process, and I'm glad He's leading the way. I just have to keep my eyes and my complete focus on Him. We'll just keep praying for each other.
