Ya wanna know how lucky I am? My upline just got these and because her DH is on vacation, she gave them to me to use. There's just something wrong with giving another woman your new stamps to use. I felt really funny about it! She insisted, so I took them and this is what I created. I found it was easy for me to use the ship and lighthouse.
I used sepia ink for the lighthouse and ship on shiny cardstock. I used the cloud template for the lighter blues in the sky and the stampscapes cloud stamp in navy for the overlaying clouds. The water was stamped in bashful blue with clear ep so it would shine like real water. I used the cuttlebug for the bg. I cut out the small lighthouse an mounted it on dimensionals to give it the appearance of being in the distance.
I used sepia ink for the lighthouse and ship on shiny cardstock. I used my stampscapes cloud stamp for the top and the waves stamp for the bottom. I added some light plum to the sky and several colors of blue for the sea. I tied linen thread in the corners. I also used the cuttlebug backwards so the bg would look like a fishing net. It is recessed instead of being bubbled out.
This is fresh cuts in pomegranate stamped on vellum. After it dried, I colored on the back of the vellum. I added ribbon and the silver heart in the corner. I put this through the cuttlebug so the bg would look like script also.
I have to say this was a little harder for me to use than the ships. I don't know why.. I'm going to have to work with this a little bit more to feel comfortable with it.
I used sepia ink for the lighthouse and ship on shiny cardstock. I used my stampscapes cloud stamp for the top and the waves stamp for the bottom. I wanted this to look like sunrise or sunset. Hemp twine was used for the corner.
Well isn't this just the cutest card? I got this from my son's science teacher as a thank you for the goodies I sent her for teacher appreciation day. Isn't this fun? It's a square card with the circle on top. The brad is the hinge for the card; you move the circle up and to the right and the card opens! I thought it was darling! I love the sparkles on it too.
Lots to do right now at work. Lesson plans and a grade book to finalize so I can do report cards online. It's pretty easy to do report cards online now. Beats all the writing and pressing hard to make it through 5 copies! We've come a long way in the report card business!
Any of your remember those purple worksheets? They always felt so fresh and smelled so good. When I first started teaching we had to use a thermofax machine to copy a worksheet to a purple page, then run it on the duplicating machine. Oh my....where did this all come from? LOL
I'm off to work on grades. Bless you for visiting.
This is a place where I can share my love of family, stamping and the Lord.

Sue, you taught me something that I'm surprised I didn't realize before...the second card (my favorite of all of them) has the upside down cuttlebug design making it look like netting. Oh my goodness, that never occurred to me, but its perfect! Nice job.
