Color and Cat Challenges

Well I had two challenges today.........One was the color challenge at SCS and the other was a cat name Sam. The color challenge was easier than Sam to be sure! My DS and I were trying to go through his things and save, pitch or Goodwill sort and Sam provided much needed help as well. He took up residence in one of the 'KEEP' boxes. He wanted no mistakes when it came to where he would be at the end of the day! He's a fun cat who likes to be in the mix of things.

This is the color challenge for Tuesday on SCS:eggplant, teal and olive. When I first read those colors I thought, EW.........Then when I saw samples I changed my tune. Here's what I came up with. I used my Flourishes Lilacs stamps. Let me know what you think. The coloring is watercoloring with crayons and ink from lids. I used teal around the lilac to make it stand out a bit.

The carpeting is in, the excitement is high.....the furniture is being put together piece by piece. Sarah's hutch/desk had 47 steps! I am on 37 right now and needed a break. The kids and I have been working on their rooms and the furniture. We've been comparing battle wounds from doing this! LOL

Here's Ben's room. He got an L-shaped desk that will take up much of two walls. DH figured he could use it since next year he'll start high school. Me on the other hand, I don't see the need for that much desk. The kid's gonna stack stuff on it...........oh well........such is life. I try not to sweat the little stuff.
