An EXCITING Day!

When you work with the best, the day is easier.  Here is my assistant, Patti.  We've worked together for over 5 years.  Patti has a sense of what to do and when. It's wonderful to see her get an award for all she does for people here in Parma Park.

Patti was shocked and thrilled to have won this award.  She will be honored at the PTA banquet on April 25th.  I was so happy that part of her family could come and watch her get this award.

Today at 2:40 or so in the afternoon, my assistant Patti received an award for Assistant of the Year!  She was nominated by a PTA mom who wrote some very nice things about her.  We had to trick her so she'd come down to the gym.  I told her Andrea was sick and I needed her to take her place.  Here are a few pictures of Patti and our boss.

It's Wednesday and one more day of work and we'll be on Spring Break! Woot, woot! Hey Hope, one more day! I've been able to catch up on work so I've been able to do some of the SCS challenges. Here's the color challenge from yesterday. The colors were pool party, peach and limeade. At first I said, "Yuck, these aren't going to be any good together, then I let the magic of my blender pen and ink for lids of ink pads take over. I stamped on a piece of paper along an edge. Then colored the images I colored over the flower centers again. I also added dazzling details to the flower centers. The ruffled pool party ribbon is just gorgeous, so I had to use it here. Check this out. What do you think?
Here is the card I made for today's challenge which was a sketch challenge. I had trouble with the three lines of paper but decided to leave them where they are.

We were talking at our Bible Study last night that Easter services will be so crowded that we're not guaranteed a seat.  I think we might pass on it.  Christmas we were shuffled into an add on room where they run the screen and sound in so we can watch the service.  I can't tell you what it was like to watch it from a screen that was 20 feet away.  The  irony here is that those that come one for Christmas and once for Easter get the seats and we don't.  We might be taking Easter Sunday off so the others could sit and hear the sermon.

Gotta get some things done before I fall asleep.  The last two nights have been late.
Bless you for stopping by.  Tomorrow I'll be able to begin making more things and having more time for stamping.
Thank you for stopping by today.

Peach Parfait is one of those colors for me that "a little goes a long way." You did it just right : )

That's terrible that you might not go to Easter service. It's not the same, but maybe you could go as a guest at another church and be guaranteed a seat, LOL!

My ADHD almost 13 year-old son is challenging me in a big way today. Please say a prayer for us.

Hey Everybody, We're blanketed in snow today and the schools are closed. Whether as a kid or a teacher the two words you loved to hear...
