Verse of the Day:Micah 7:8 I know God heard me today. Read on.
I know I usually post the verse of the day near the end of my posts but today it is at the beginning. It is part of my Cool God Story.
What I mean by this is, I saw God work today through me.
I have to tell you that since our family upset last Sunday I've been wondering what today's visit with my mom would bring. To say I had some apprehension about my visit is putting it mildly. I didn't want a confrontation with a sibling.
The whole time I drove to the nursing home today I was praying. I told God that I knew He went before me and he was with me. Whatever happened today I knew it was because He let it go through His hands first.
I asked God to give me what I needed to do this visit whatever happened.
I approached the door and a gentleman was sitting outside in a wheelchair. He was middle aged and had his right foot bandaged. I greeted him and he greeted me in return. Then I asked how he was and he said, "Not so good." I inquired further and he told me he was down because of his foot. He seemed so sad. I told him I'd pray for him. Then God nudged me, (I know it was the Holy Spirit.) I asked him if I could pray for him and what his name was.
I placed my hand on his shoulder and prayed for him. I know it affected him as he wiped a tear away. He thanked me and I thanked him.
Do you see what I mean? I knew God was with me and I knew he prompted me to pray for Doug. I had such a peace and calm feeling. Now I was ready to visit mom inside.
I had a wonderful visit with Mom. We had lots to talk about between cards I brought to show her, to gardening and my latest afghan that I brought to work on.
I was so happy when I left that I decided to go to Uncle Frank's Plant Farm and look for some different plants. I stopped to get a sandwich at Cafe Aroma and I was on my way. It was a beautiful day. I arrived at the plant farm to see that it was closed on Sunday......oh well, I sat and ate my sandwich then headed for home.
Check out this little guy. My friend, Jan had this set called, Magical Dragons from My Favorite Things. She had the dies as well. I stamped some dragons and sentiments and cut them out. This is what I came up with last night. I thought this was such a cute card. Inside it has a small dragon who says, Get Well Soon.
Anyone who knows me knows I love 'cute' stamps and flowers for the most part. I will be making cards with the rest of the dragons I colored last night.
Here is the card I used as inspiration for my card for today's featured stamper on SCS. My card is next. This set called, Thoughts and Prayers from Stampin' Up is timeless.
Blessing of the Day: Praying for Doug, Visiting Mom, Spending time with Tim having coffee. That time with Tim blessed me and helped me get in the frame of mind I needed to do this post and work on cards. God is good. All the time.
Thank you for visiting today.
Blessings,

Sue .... nothing is more exciting than to have the Lord use us, as He did when you took the time to speak to Doug and to pray for him yesterday! You had asked the Lord to prepare you for the visit to your Mom and the Lord sweetly arranged this meeting with Doug so that you, Doug and your Mom were greatly blessed!! The Lord always surprises us because He abundantly answers our prayers over and above anything we can think to ask for, doesn't He?? What a sweet, faithful and lovely Friend He is to us!! Thank you, Sue, for your testimonies of the things the Lord brings into your life!! By the way, I wonder if Doug would like one of those adorable dragon get well cards you are making??!!
